Managing Logistics Service Providers (Contacts)
In the Contact Management section, you build your central address book for all carriers and logistics service providers.
Why should you maintain contacts here in advance? This has one decisive advantage: You do not have to painstakingly type in your partners manually during a time-critical freight request (Spot or Tender). Once the master data, transport modes, and specialties (tags) are cleanly stored here, it only takes a few clicks to pinpoint the right service providers for new requests.
1. Access Contact Management
-
Click on your name or your company name on the far right of the top navigation bar.
-
Select "Contacts" (Kontakte) from the dropdown menu.
-
You are now in the "Manage Contacts" overview and can see all carriers already stored in the system.
2. Create a New Partner
To add a new service provider, use the input bar at the top of the screen:
-
Enter the contact person's email address (e.g., firstname.lastname@carrier.com).
-
Click the "Add" (Hinzufügen) button next to it.
-
The contact immediately appears as a new row in your list.
3. Edit Partner Data (IMPORTANT)
For OYASO to automatically suggest the right partners for your future requests, you must complete the carrier's profile.
-
Click the pencil icon (Edit) in the row of the newly created contact.
-
In the "Edit Contact" window, you now maintain the following core data:
-
Company & Contact Person: Enter the official name of the carrier and the contact person.
-
Language: Select the preferred language (e.g., DE or EN). The carrier will receive their automatic OYASO emails in this language going forward.
-
Transport Modes: Check which types of transport this provider handles (e.g., "Air Freight", "Road FTL", "Sea Freight FCL"). This ensures they will only be suggested to you for matching requests later on.
-
Tags: Assign individual labels (e.g., "Asia Specialist", "Dangerous Goods", "Refrigerated Transport"). These tags allow you to filter your provider portfolio at lightning speed later.
-
-
Finally, click "Save changes".
4. Delete Contacts
Do you want to remove a service provider from your address book (e.g., because the contact person has left the company)?
-
Simply click the trash can icon in the corresponding row.
