Comparing Offers on a Spot Request

See all prices for one request side by side and prepare the award.

Once the first offer has arrived, you open the comparison straight from the Status Overview. That is the usual route: you are working on one particular request and want to see its offers.

Open the comparison from the Status Overview

  1. Open the Status Overview.
  2. Click Compare on the right of the request row.

If offers exist, the comparison for that request opens immediately.

Open the comparison by reference number

Use this route when you have a reference number in front of you, for example from a notification email.

  1. In the main menu, click Compare and select Spot.
  2. Open the selection field at the top.
  3. Select the reference number, or type it to filter the list.

What the view shows

Each carrier occupies its own column, with its rating in the header. Rows are grouped into blocks:

  • Routing — place of pickup, port of departure and destination, place of delivery
  • Details — Incoterm, dangerous goods class, security status, mode of pre- and on-carriage, maximum transit time, remarks from the carrier
  • Total cost, broken down by transport leg below

If you requested the legs separately, pre-carriage, main carriage, and on-carriage appear as their own blocks, each with the individual items such as pickup, freight cost, fuel and security surcharge, or delivery. Import customs clearance and transport insurance follow underneath.

Reading the percentages

A percentage appears next to the amounts. It shows how far that item sits above the lowest offer in the same row. The lowest value carries no percentage.

This works row by row. A carrier can be cheapest on the main carriage and most expensive on the on-carriage. That structure is exactly what makes splitting the legs useful.

Below the total cost you also see the price per kilogram, with the conversion used shown in brackets. → Chargeable weight and volume

Placing an order and rejecting quotes

The actions sit above each column:

  • Place order awards the transport to that carrier.
  • Reject quote declines that one carrier.
  • Reject all other declines every remaining participant.

The awarded carrier is then marked in its column. → Placing an order and sending rejections

Exporting the view

Three output options sit in the top left: Excel, Png, and Copy. Use them to move the comparison into an internal approval or an email without retyping it.

If a selection page appears instead of the comparison

No offer has arrived for that request yet. You then land on the Compare start page and choose a request there yourself.

The Status Overview shows in the request row which of your carriers have already replied.

If the request is not in the selection list

The selection field lists spot requests. Rate requests are found under Compare in the matching section.
