Closing, Deleting, and Reactivating Requests

End a request without losing the data your reports rely on.

Not every request leads to an order. Sometimes a shipment is cancelled, sometimes you find another solution internally. You can end a request in two ways: closing keeps the data, deleting removes it permanently.

Close or delete

Close Delete
When to use The request is finished but should stay on record The request was created by mistake, is a duplicate, or was a test
Offers are kept are removed
Reports the request stays included the request disappears from all statistics
Reversible yes, by reactivating no

When in doubt, close the request. Deleting cannot be undone.

Close a request

  1. Open the Status Overview and find the request.
  2. Click Close on the right of the row.

The request then appears under Closed Requests. Your carriers can no longer submit or change offers. All offers received so far remain in your history and in your reports.

On the day after its validity expires, the request moves to Old Requests on its own. You do not have to do anything. → Navigating the dashboard

Delete a request

  1. Open the Status Overview and find the request.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Confirm the prompt.

The request and all offers received are removed. They no longer appear in any report.

Deleting cannot be undone. If you might still need the prices for a comparison or a negotiation, close the request instead.

Reactivate a request

As long as a request has not been deleted, you can reactivate it at any time, from Closed Requests as well as from Old Requests. An expired validity period does not prevent this.

  1. Find the request in your Status Overview.
  2. Click Reactivate on the right of the row.

The request is active again and your carriers can submit offers. Depending on your company's settings, they receive an email about it.

Every status change is recorded in the request History with user and time.

If you cannot find the right button

Reactivate appears on closed and old requests, Close on open ones — the label in the row changes with the section. Check which section the request is in.

A deleted request cannot be recovered. Create the request again.
