Tracking and Analyzing CO₂ Emissions (Greenhouse Gases)
To support your company with sustainability and ESG reporting, OYASO offers the ability to record greenhouse gas emissions (CO₂e) directly at the shipment level.
In this article, you will learn where your logistics service providers enter these values when submitting a quote, and how you can subsequently export the collected data for your evaluations.
1. Entry by the Carrier (During Quote Submission)
The transmission of CO₂ values is done directly by the carrier as part of their regular quoting process. As a shipper, you do not need to prepare anything further for this.
-
The Carrier's View: When your logistics partner opens the link to your spot request and wants to submit an offer, they are in the "Quote details and submission" screen.
-
The Input Field: In the "General Information" section—right next to mandatory fields like the quote number and delivery date—the carrier will find the "Greenhouse gas emissions (kg)" field.
-
The Entry: Here, the service provider can enter the calculated CO₂e value for this specific transport before finally sending the quote to you.

2. Evaluation and Retrieval by You (Data Export)
Currently, the collected CO₂ values are compiled and output in OYASO's Excel reporting. This is the most efficient way to transfer the data in a structured manner into your company's internal controlling or sustainability reporting.
Here is how you retrieve the data:
-
Access Data Export: Click on "Reports" in the top navigation bar and select "Data Export".
-
Select Area and Period: Depending on your needs, you can export the data under Offers (Spot) (includes unbooked quotes) or Transports (Spot) (only the actually booked orders). Enter the desired date range.
-
Download Excel: Click the orange "Download Excel file" button.
-
Find Values in Excel: Open the downloaded file. You will find a dedicated column named "Greenhouse gas emissions (CO₂e)" (usually around column AB). All the values entered by your carriers during quote submission are accurately documented here.
