Creating and Managing Rate Requests
With OYASO, you can request and manage not only daily prices (Spot) but also long-term rate agreements and tariffs with your logistics service providers. This article guides you through the process.
1. Select Quote Type
Start a new request and select the Rates tab (instead of Spot) in the first step.
-
This option is used to agree on prices per kg, cbm, or load for a fixed period of time.
-
Next, select the desired mode of transport, e.g., Road Freight, and the type of transport (e.g., Door → Door).
2. Define Shipment Details
In the "Enter shipment details" section, you determine the scope of the tariff.
-
Tariff Type: You can choose specific routes (point-to-point) or define country tariffs (inbound/outbound) that cover an entire country or zip code area.
-
Geography: Define the point of departure (e.g., Country "Germany") and the destination (e.g., a specific zip code like "10117 Berlin").
-
Validity: Set the timeframe for which the prices should apply by entering the dates under "Prices valid from" and "Prices valid to".
-
Deadline: Set a deadline for the quote submission.
3. Select Partners
Select the carriers you want to invite to submit rates.
-
You can select partners like "Interlog" or "Concordia Log" from your existing list.
Pro-Tip: If you do not want to request rates from a carrier but only want to enter your own price list internally, click on "Status Overview" (Statusübersicht) to manage this manually.
4. Send Request
Before sending, you can personalize the email to the service providers.
-
Customize the subject line and the personal cover letter.
-
The service provider needs no registration to submit their rates.
-
Finally, click on Send (Versenden).
5. Entering Offers & Formats
After sending, you have various options for getting the rates into the system:
-
Excel Upload: You or the service provider can download a template, fill it out, and upload it via drag & drop.
-
Manual Entry: Alternatively, rates can also be entered manually ("Manual Input").
-
Retroactive Entry: In the request overview, you will find the "Enter Offer" (Angebot erfassen) button to add rates manually if they were received via email, for example.
