Changing a Request and Informing Your Carriers

Editing drafts and communicating changes on a running request.

As long as a request has not been sent, you can edit it freely. After sending, the content is locked, but you can send your carriers an update.

Editing a draft

  1. Open the request from your Status Overview.
  2. Click Revise on the right.
  3. Change routing, dates, or shipment data, then send the request.

Sending an update on a running request

Once the request has gone to at least one carrier, the button reads Send changes.

  1. Open the running request.
  2. Click Send changes. The Send update to forwarders window opens.
  3. Describe what has changed under Your personal message.
  4. Check your signature. Both fields are required.
  5. Click SEND.

Under Separately to you see all recipients. OYASO automatically selects every carrier that received the request. Each one gets their own email — recipients cannot see each other.

The text is stored with a timestamp in the request History. Your carriers receive an email and also see the change as a notice above the offer form, before they submit or revise their offer.

What this function is not for

Use updates only for details that do not affect the price — a rescheduled pickup day, an address detail, a contact person.

OYASO points this out in the window itself: with price-relevant changes, prices already submitted may become invalid.

For price-forming changes it is the wrong route. A substantially higher weight, a different postcode, or a switch from standard to express changes the calculation. There is a risk that not every carrier reads the notice, and you end up comparing prices based on different assumptions.

For price-relevant changes: close the request and start a new one with Duplicate, using the corrected values. Everyone then calculates on the same basis. → Duplicating a request
