Can I Still Change a Request After Sending It?
No — and here is the clean way to fix it instead.
No. Once a request has been sent to your carriers, its content is locked. Dimensions, dates, routing, and shipment data can no longer be edited.
Why the request is locked
Every invited carrier should calculate on the same basis. If the shipment changed afterwards, the offers received would rest on different assumptions and would no longer be comparable.
What to do instead
For details that do not affect the price — a rescheduled pickup day, a contact person — send an update to everyone involved. → Changing a request and informing your carriers
For anything that affects the price:
- Close the incorrect request. → Closing, deleting, and reopening requests
- Duplicate it. → Duplicating a request
- Correct the values in the copy.
- Send the corrected request.
Because all the data carries over, this usually takes only a moment.
