 Formatting the Message Text

Structuring the message you send to your carriers.

You can structure your message in the sending window. This is worth doing when a lot of extra information travels with the request — customs agent details, a differing invoice address, or notification contacts for transports to non-EU countries. In running text such details are easily missed.

Available formatting

  • Bold for terms that must not be overlooked
  • Italics for notes
  • Underline for notes that should stand out
  • Bullet points for addresses, contacts, and document checklists
  • Numbered lists for sequences that have an order
  • Highlighting for the one detail that matters most

A separate field for your signature sits below the text box. Both fields are required — without them the message cannot be sent.

Pasting text from other programs

You can paste blocks of text from Word or your internal systems. The formatting is reduced to the options listed above.

Why the options are limited

Fonts, colours, and sizes cannot be chosen. This keeps the message looking the same for every recipient, whatever email program they use.
